This is achieved by an electrologist inserting a fine and sterile probe into the natural opening of the hair follicle, applying a small amount of electrical current to kill the hair and germinating cells, and then removing the hair.
The answer to this question varies greatly. Everyone has a different level of pain tolerance, and other factors can effect it from day to day as well. Appointments can range anywhere between 15 minutes to an hour or longer. This depends upon the appointment type and area to be treated.
There are simply too many complicated factors in play for us to be able to say for certain. These factors include the size of the area you want cleared, the density of hairs, the type of hair, hormonal factors, length/regularity of treatments, and the fact that only a percentage of the body’s hair follicle’s are currently active at a given time. Regardless, electrolysis is a long process that requires multiple appointments to clear an area of hair. It could take anywhere from a few months to several years, depending on your individual conditions and goals.
